VaultTerm – Roadmap v1
VaultTerm 1.0 is now in review on Google Play.
Thank you to everyone who follows the project — here is the initial roadmap.
This roadmap focuses on stability first. New features will be added carefully and only after real-world feedback.
✅ Version 1.0 (Initial Release)
- SSH terminal powered by Apache MINA SSHD
- Clean terminal-first UI
- Local-only connection storage
- Integrated key bar (Ctrl, Esc, Tab, arrows, paste)
- Proper soft keyboard handling
- No analytics, no ads, no tracking
🔧 Short-term (v1.0.x – Stability Updates)
Focus: polishing and reliability.
Planned:
- Bug fixes based on user feedback
- Terminal rendering improvements
- UI refinements
- Performance optimizations
- Crash fixes (if any appear after release)
No major new features in this phase.
🚀 Mid-term (v1.1+)
These are possible additions, depending on demand:
- Public key authentication
- Adjustable scrollback buffer
- Terminal appearance options (font size, colors)
- Minor workflow improvements
💎 Later (Pro Features – if there is enough interest)
These are not guaranteed and depend entirely on user feedback:
- SFTP support
- Multiple terminal sessions / tabs
- Port forwarding
- Advanced clipboard sync
If these arrive, they may become part of an optional Pro version.

VaultTerm is built with these principles:
- Privacy first
- No tracking
- No cloud dependency
- Minimal UI
- Terminal comes first
Features will only be added if they fit this philosophy.
