VaultTerm is currently in Beta.
Core functionality is stable, but some features are still in development.
This section lists current limitations to set clear expectations.
🚧 Current Limitations
At this stage, VaultTerm includes:
🔑 Password authentication only (for now)
📁 No SFTP support yet
📑 No terminal tabs
🎨 Terminal rendering still evolving
🧩 UI polish ongoing
These are planned features — not forgotten.
🧭 What This Means
Beta means:
✅ Core architecture is in place
✅ SSH stack is stable
✅ Local encryption is implemented
✅ Host key verification works
✅ Terminal engine is operational
But also:
⚠ Some workflows may still change
⚠ Visual refinements are ongoing
⚠ Advanced features arrive later
🛠️ Why This Matters
VaultTerm is built bottom-up.
Instead of shipping half-working features, development focuses on:
- stability
- correctness
- security
- predictable behavior
This avoids technical debt and future regressions.
