How to Ask for Support 🛠️
Before posting a new support request, please read this guide. Clear information helps resolve issues much faster.
1. Check Existing Topics First
Please check existing threads and guides before opening a new post.
Common SSH issues are often related to server configuration, firewall rules, or credentials.
2. What to Include in Your Post
When creating a new support topic, please include:
- VaultTerm version: (e.g. 1.0.0)
- Android version: (e.g. Android 14)
- Device model: (e.g. Pixel 8, Samsung S23)
- Connection type: (password or key-based, if applicable)
- Server OS (if known): (e.g. Ubuntu 22.04)
- Exact error message: (if any)
This information is essential for troubleshooting.
3. Describe the Problem Clearly
Please explain:
- What were you trying to do?
- What happened instead?
- Does the connection fail immediately or after connecting?
- Are you connecting over Wi-Fi or mobile data?
- Can you connect to the same server from another SSH client?
The more detail you provide, the easier it is to help.
⚠️ Privacy Reminder
NEVER post:
- SSH passwords
- Private keys
- Public IP addresses
- Full server hostnames
- Screenshots containing credentials
If you share screenshots, blur or hide all sensitive information.
VaultTerm is privacy-focused — please keep your credentials private.
